It’s almost impossible to open up any email or magazine without having at least a fleeting mention of artificial intelligence and how it is impacting the profession. Most of these authors write about what is happening, but few focus on what veterinary professionals can do about it. During this talk, we will import lessons from human medicine that will help us shape the future of AI. In particular, human radiology makes use of the FDA and CLAIM guidelines on how AI should be developed and used. During this talk, we’ll explore how this could be used for veterinary medicine and how individual practitioners can advocate for these guidelines.
